My Hope for Unitarian Universalism

I believe that Unitarian Universalism is salvific. I’ve heard so many stories of people who have said, “I wish I knew that there was a thing such as Unitarian Universalism.” It makes me ask what it would look like if we spoke about our faith more freely. I like the term evangelism (UUvangelism); at its most basic, it’s telling someone about something you like and enjoy. We share about our newest book, the most recent good restaurant; why not share about our faith?

I look forward to the ways we do church beyond Sunday services. And I dream of a future Unitarian Universalism in which we have built a genuinely diverse, multicultural Beloved Community.

  • About Me

I am a Unitarian Universalist minister. I served as the ministerial intern at Neighborhood Unitarian Universalist Church and have given guest sermons at various UU congregations and communities.

  • Theology & Practice

I am a Christian-adjacent, panentheist UU, influenced by Science of the Mind and Atheist authors, supported by Womanist and Process theology to make sense of the world, my place in it, and my relationship with and experience of the Divine.

  • Sermons

Worship is the communal gathering of a time set apart for the renewal of body, mind, and spirit. Ultimately, worship is the time in which “the congregation comes to know itself and its responsibility of service to the world.” (Gaia Brown).

  • Other Interests

My ministry is important to me and takes a lot of my time. However, I balance the demands of ministerial life with activities that bring me joy and help to nourish and sustain me. Visit the link below for a snapshot of these interests.
