I am a Unitarian Universalist minister. I served as the ministerial intern at Neighborhood Unitarian Universalist Church and have given guest sermons at various UU congregations and communities.

I prepare expert witness reports for LGBTQ asylum seekers in various countries. I have also presented these findings in court. I have had clients from individuals to university legal departments.

Funny Gyal: My Fight Against Homophobia in Jamaica. 2023 Lambda Literary Finalist - LGBTQ+ Young Adult. My book discusses the culture of homophobia in Jamaica by sharing my sexual and spiritual awakening as well as a traumatic experience.

I am a certified life coach helping clients create a life of purpose and joy. I use my lived experiences with homophobia, and hate crimes, as a lesbian who grew up in Jamaica in a Christian Brethren family to support my clients.

My working philosophy of life:

I’ve often attempted to write about how I see and engage the world. I’ve resigned myself to making it a list that will continue to be updated and changed:

  1. Most people have an inner core that remains stable as they experience life, that despite how low or high things get, no matter how much they change, there is a small piece that does not change.

  2. We are always changing. As such, we don't become one static thing; we're always becoming.

  3. There is no separation between the sacred and the secular. Each affects the other, and many of us live our lives in both spaces.

“Your life is your spiritual path. Don’t be quick to abandon it for bigger and better experiences. You are getting exactly the experiences you need to grow. . . To know the self is to allow everything, to embrace the totality of who we are—all that we think and feel, all that we fear, all that we love.”
